Step 1: get a large mixing bowl Step 2: combine the following ingredients: 3/4 cups of softened unsalted butter, 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of light brown sugar and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Step 3: mix it up with either a whisk, Electric hand mixer or stand mixer, add 1 large egg before continuing. Step 4: add the following: 1 teaspoon of white vinegar, vanilla extract (optional), on separate bowl: put 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, 1 1/2 tablespoons of Cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and 3/4 teaspoon of salt (more steps down below)

Step 5: stir dry ingredients until it’s nicely combined Step 6: pour flour mixture with butter/cream mixture, stir it, add a red food coloring and stir it again.
